Illustrating Pearson product catalog
The 2007-08 Pearson national marketing campaign required engaging communications to promote its textbooks and online learning resources. Collaborating with the marketing director and copywriters, I gained insight into the target audience, products, and communication channels. My interest extended beyond design, leading me to offer illustrations for the annual catalog, submitting conceptual drawings into a contest.
As a result, I provided original artwork for all the chapters of Pearson’s catalog, working through pencil and ink-pen drawings, then scanning and colorizing them in Adobe Illustrator. My illustrations were later used in Pearson’s print and online marketing materials.
