REI – holistic experience
During my time working with REI, I approached the project with the mindset of a customer, imagining myself browsing in-store or online. I considered key questions: What would clearly incentivize someone to get REI credit card? What design would feel engaging and personally appealing?
One standout idea was personalizing the card’s look and feel, inspired by the many hikers, travelers, and cyclists who cherish photos from their adventures. This concept aligns with REI’s community of outdoor enthusiasts, creating a deeper emotional connection. Going further, I designed a unique utility credit card featuring a mini compass and magnifying glass, combining function with creativity to enhance the outdoor experience.
For the in-store and online banners, I focused on ensuring a cohesive and consistent presentation of the REI credit card benefits, reflecting the brand’s identity while appealing to customers’ sense of adventure.
